
Quanxin Zhu(朱全新) Professor Quanxin Zhu, Ph.D., Second-Level Professor, Xiaoxiang Distinguished Professor of Hunan Normal University, Doctoral Supervisor. He enjoys the State Council Special Government Allowance as an expert, is a Leading Talent in Science and Technology Innovation of Hunan Province, Distinguished Professor of Furong Scholars of Hunan Province, and a Senior Research Fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (Germany). He serves as Deputy Director of the Key Laboratory of Computing and Stochastic Mathematics (Ministry of Education), and Director of the Key Laboratory of Control and Optimization of Complex Systems (Hunan Provincial University). He is a Senior Member of IEEE and a Senior Member of the Chinese Association of Automation.
His research focuses on the theory and applications of Markov processes, stability and control of stochastic nonlinear systems, where he has achieved a series of important advances. He has published over 200 SCI-indexed papers in leading international journals in the control field, such as Automatica, IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, and SIAM Journal on Control and Optimization.
He has received the First Prize of Natural Science Award of Hunan Province (as the first recipient), the First Prize of Natural Science Award of Jiangsu Provincial Universities (as the first recipient), and was named a Clarivate Highly Cited Researcher globally for six consecutive years (2018–2023). He is listed in the World’s Top 0.05% Scholars (2024), the World’s Top 2% Scientists for six consecutive years (2020–2025), and the Elsevier China Highly Cited Scholar for twelve consecutive years (2014–2025). He also received the Youth Science and Technology Award (a first-level society award of the Operations Research Society of China), the “Top 100 Most Influential International Academic Papers in China”, and the Jiangsu Provincial Mathematical Achievement Award.
Professor Zhu has presided over six projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and ten provincial/ministerial-level projects. He serves as an Executive Director of the Chinese Society of Engineering Probability and Statistics, a Director of the Chinese Association of Probability and Statistics, a member of the Control Theory Committee of the Chinese Association of Automation, a member of the System and Control Mathematics Committee of the China Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics, a member of the Adaptive Dynamic Programming and Reinforcement Learning Committee of the Chinese Association of Automation, and a member of the TCCT Stochastic Systems and Control Group of the Chinese Association of Automation. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the international journal Complex Systems Stability & Control, and serves as an Associate Editor or Editorial Board Member for six international SCI-indexed journals, including the IEEE Transactions on Automation Science and Engineering.
